   Watch out! Another storm is whipping into our area this evening and looking to unleash 5-8 inches of snow overnight.  The snow should be arriving this evening just after dark and start with scattered snow fall. The real nasty stuff is coming closer to midnight tonight with gusty winds and heavy snowfall and fast accumulation. The snow will continue to fall into the early hours of the morning at a lesser pace and should cease right around sunrise, but expect to see 5-8 inches of accumulation over the course of the evening. The Residences at Merrillville Lakes: Casino Trip!

    For anyone who has not seen it yet, we are having a casino trip this coming April! The bus will be leaving on April 22nd, heading to Four Winds Casino Resort in New Buffalo, Michigan. There is a signup sheet in the lobby areas next to the mailboxes with more information. So for anyone looking to have some fun this spring and gamble to their hearts content, make sure to get your name onto the signup sheet before the trip fills up! It's going to be a great time!

   Just wanted to offer everyone a friendly reminder about the nasty weather that is supposed to be blowing in this afternoon into evening. If you haven't seen it already there has been light freezing rain and sleet falling early this afternoon.  The snow may look pretty out there, but beneath it is a nice slippery layer of ice just waiting to wreak havoc! So be careful out there and keep warm, because it's quite breezy out there!

   As you all know the Super Bowl is quickly approaching. Scratch that... The Super Bowl is UPON us!!! With the Super Bowl being only a day away it is important that you make it a top priority to swing by the office today or early tomorrow to reserve yourself a spot at our Super Bowl Party! We will be serving refreshments and snacks, so bring your appetite with you... The Super Bowl Party will begin tomorrow evening, Sunday, February 6th at 5pm. Be There OR Be Square! So make sure to come join us for all the excitement and cheer on your favorite team (or second favorite team for most of you...)

The Residences at Merrillville Lakes: Looking Back on the Blizzard

    What do you know, It's a beautiful and sunny day out today! Amusing when you compare it to yesterday where you couldn't see twenty feet in front of you due to the whiteout and excessive winds. You can see the roads slowly start to resemble roads as opposed to snow covered fields after the full day of constant snowfall has come to a stop.  We can all be glad that our the parking lots did not resemble Lake Shore Drive with plenty of stranded cars scattered up and down.

The Residences At Merrillville Lakes: Parking During This Blizzard!!

    In an effort to help prevent your car from resembling this poor souls car pictured above, we have decided to open the parking garages to all residents. This way we will allow all of our residents to park in the garages during the storm regardless of whether you have paid for a garage spot or not. The garages will be open until 8pm this evening and will then be closed until tomorrow morning. This means if you have to leave the garage, you will not be able to get back into the garage until we open them back up tomorrow morning.  Similar to today the garages will be opened back up tomorrow morning and remain open until 8pm tomorrow night. (For those of you unfamiliar with our garages: In order to leave the garage at any time just pull up to the right door and it will automatically open when the motion sensor senses your car there.)
*Those with Garage Clickers may still come and go from the garages as if normal.*
